This was one of my favorite projects I worked on at Calm. In a partnership with Discover Puerto Rico, I supervised the audio production for a collection of immersive content in both English and Spanish to bring the island’s sounds and beauty to listeners around the world.
One of the pieces was this Sleep Story, “Adventures in Puerto Rico.” We produced this in both English and Spanish. I supervised the recording sessions in person at CityVox New York. I also directed Lin-Manuel for the Spanish version.
I edited the dialogue and sound design, and mixed the English version. I supervised our wonderful contractor Bruno Mulinario for the Spanish version. I provided input on what sound effects we needed, and the ambiences and sounds were recorded by an amazing sound team in Puerto Rico.
I’m proud to be half Puerto Rican and this project was close to my heart. I hope you have a chance to listen and be transported to la isla del encanto.
